It's an owl! Sorry the pictures both kind of look the same. The owl doesn't do much but sit there. Patrick spotted him today when he was looking out our front windows. He's just sort of sitting and sleeping on our porch. Any owl experts know what kind of owl this is? And are they dangerous? We're afraid he might swoop down and scratch someone! It's pretty neat though, I've never seen a real owl in the wild up this close before.

Cool! How neat! Those are cool pics. Thanks for sharing! Did you name him yet? ha ha
Love ya,
Holly :)
Clever title. :-) That's really cool - does Henry notice him?
How cool is that! I tried looking it up, but couldn't figure out what kind of owl you have.
WARNING: Owls are dangerous but they can learn tricks, if you're patient. I recommend that you only walk near the owl while wearing protective gear (helmets, safety goggles, etc.) If you're going to try to communicate, offer peanut butter; owls are notorius peanut butter "nuts." (excuse the pun)
What a coincidence? We had a strange bird on our porch today, too! (I've posted a picture here.

Dan...whoooooo is that??? Henry was looking at it with me and I asked him, "is that a bird" to which he replied an adamant, "NO"!
Too funny! BTW, are you anonymous?? We're not to feed the owl are we??!
No, I woudln't feed it. I would stick with the helmet and safety glasses, though. Owls are notorious "eye-gougers."
Not really
Very cute!
