Henry waiting so patiently to drink his "bubble juice" (Welch's Sparkling White Grape). He talked about it all day and it was going to be a huge privilege.
Unfortunately, he didn't like it. He was so sweet and polite about it though and simply set his cup back down and said nothing. We asked him if he'd rather have a different drink and he chose pineapple juice. Still in the special glass!
We decided to have our Christmas with the boys on Christmas Eve morning and had a special Christmas dinner the night before. I made my first ham! Henry helped me bake a cake and after dinner we lit birthday candles and sang "Happy Birthday"to Jesus. The boys opened Christmas pj's before their bath that night.
We had a relaxing morning on Christmas Eve, Henry woke up early and was content to watch "Cars" in our bed until we decided to wake up William at 8:00 so we could all go downstairs together. After the boys opened their presents and stockings, we ate cinnamon rolls and packed the van for our trip to Rockford for Christmas with our family there. It was loaded down! I still am amazed at the amount of stuff that we need (or just decide to take) for a few nights away!

Now this is being really candid. This is me, completely un-done. Sans make-up, hair straightener, shower... ah, glorious Christmas morning pictures! The kids are so cute. The mom? (me) Not so much!!
We loved having Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas morning at our house with the boys. We definitely want to make it a tradition to do both. As a child I loved going to sleep in my bed on Christmas Eve and waking up to the magic of Christmas morning. I really want that for the boys, even if it's on a different day.

Cute pics...even of you :) Kaylee got the same laptop last year (07) for Christmas, but she loved it and I really think it helped her learn her letters! She still plays with it and now Ainsley is getting into it and loves to assist Kaylee :)
We have officially grown up, Christina! You cooked a ham!!! Look how far we've come! I love this tradition that you're starting with your family. I know this will be something the boys will always remember and cherish.
Love,
Erica
