By next week, I hope to be instagramming to you from our new home! We are still waiting to firm up our closing date, but hoping it will be by the end of this week. I am so happy that summer is here. I love having both of my boys together all day. We have some big plans for the summer. Like lots of visits to the pool, the bakery and the library.

Destin {2012}

We got home two weeks ago from a late spring trip to Florida. I'm convinced that a part of my heart belongs to Florida and those white sand beaches on its Gulf.

It was lovely as it always is.

It was blue skies and sparkling emerald green water. It was family time together away. It was toes in the sand. It was mahi mahi blackened at its finest with a side of hush puppies and date night in Watercolor. It was relaxing with friends and catching up for lost time. It was morning coffee with a view. It was digging deep holes and catching sea creatures. It was shark watching and dolphin spotting. It was ice cream at Alvins and new shovels and shark tooth necklaces for the brave boys. It was cannon balls in the pool and swimming in the deep end without floaties. It was night swims and crab walks at dark. It was fetching diving sticks and playing cars by the pool. It was warm mornings stretched into long sunny days and humid sticky nights.
We had such a great time with our dear sweet friends and loved watching our boys play together and make memories of their own. It was a perfect time away in our family's most favorite place.

I found out I could download the {free} Instagram app on my phone the night before we left Florida. {Thanks, Brooke!}I always thought Instagram was for that exclusive I-phone user club :)Me and my little android are thrilled to be new members. Here's the last few days or so in pictures with my new found love.

The long drive home and shrinking leg room in the passenger seat. Shotgun? No thanks!

Teary eyed boy after our traditional round of "Bye Bye Florida". He said through teary eyes, "But I don't want to say bye to Florida." Oh, me either baby cakes.

How Patrick survives the 13-hour drive. Sunflower seed munching.

Silly boys passing the time! These are clean, fyi. It became obvious that using undies as props was much more important than saving some for accidents.

Pretty views near Nashville. When did hills become so mountainous looking to this east coast girl?

A perfect landing. William hurdled this apple at the front with no warning. It took out an empty water bottle on its way, but landed perfectly in this solo cup {Patrick's sunflower seed cup}. Whew. Then he just looked right on out his window as if nothing ever happened. Oh blessed 13 hours in the car!

On Mother's Day we swung by our new home to show the boys. {The previous owners have already moved out making me posing on their porch a little bit less awkward}.

A job interview for this mama. And a million texts to my own mama to ask what I should wear. I couldn't be too dressy, but not too casual either. If they pick me I will be a part-time preschool teacher. Both of my darlings will be in school next fall.

End of the year kindergarten performance. Sweet and silly. They all have gotten so old this year. But weirdly I know they are still so very young. I will look back in 5 years and say, They are SO little!

Pretty plant as a thanks for being a room mom. Beautiful! So thankful I got to be in Henry's classroom. I hope they will be living by the time I get them planted. School will be out next week at this time. Summer, yay!

Kindergarten field trip. Hello Henry looking so big on a school bus. He was in the very last seat on the bus! And he sat with his 5th grade buddy. That left me sitting by my lonesome getting kicked in the back of the seat by a 5th grade boy who was taller than me. Hello fieldtrip!

Baseball has started and we are getting ready to move. These next few weeks will be busy, but I'm hoping to drink in the moments as we go through each crazy day.
