It's my favorite place in the whole wide world. In May we took a trip to Destin and stayed in a condo with Dan and Sara and their boys and my Mom. Erica, Bret and Ben met us there in the middle of the week. It was a lovely week filled with lots of trekking to the beach carrying sand shovels and pails, mornings sipping coffee on the patio and taking in the ocean and its emerald waters, dolphin and shark sightings, our first ever Gulf kayaking, completing a half-marathon with my brother, goggles and rafts and underwater swimming in the heated pool, poolside barbecue's, night swims and warming up in the hot tub. It was going out and eating in. Lots of family time and cousin time and time to just relax. It was a beautiful week and a wonderful kick off to summer.
