Poor Baby

Just a few days ago William started to break out with what seems to be a case of infant acne. It's really so sad that there are all of these little bumps on his sweet, smooth skin. I looked it up in the What to Expect the First Year book and called his doctor and it seems that there's nothing you can do except wash it with a wet rag a couple of times a day and just wait for it to clear up. Sadly it can take up to 6 months in some cases. It's on his right cheek and on the right side of his forehead. I'm glad it's not harmful to him or bothering him. It just looks sad to see. :-( Anyone have any experience with this? How long has it taken your baby's to clear up?

I'm surprised you didn't have this with Henry- it's totally normal. Both Nathan and Blake had it, it comes around 4-6 weeks old and lasted about a month (or maybe less) for my boys. It'll go away. I figure (this is my theory) that it's the baby's response to this rough world full of toxins and pollution, etc. in our food, air, water... it's pretty unavoidable. But it's not a big deal and will be gone soon!

Caleb didn't have it, but Gabe did. For him it started around 3 weeks and cleared up in a week or two. It is alarming, but it will definitely clear up. I actually read that it's from hormones that are in their system from birth and also in breastmilk. I wouldn't worry, though.

Love you guys!

I have to agree with sally and sara, Aliyah had it for a couple of weeks then it was gone, never to return again :) don't be worried.....

Gabi has it also. It's not too noticable, but in the right light you can see the bumps. Hopefully it will clear up for both of them sooner than later!
